February 2010
From the Council:
January was WAY TOO COLD and now we are awaiting the coming spring and the other great things this year is promising to bring our way. With that in mind, Kudzu Art Zone has now entered the realm of social media by becoming a featured organization on Facebook! Many of you are already fans and enjoying this great new way to keep informed about what is happening. We want to extend many thanks to Neva Spell for meeting with the Council with her suggestions and agreeing to set this up for us. We can now be connected with other businesses and individuals in Norcross (and the surrounding areas) to further encourage the arts. Check it out...and, if you are not already one, become a fan today! Plus, Neva has agreed to be our April Monthly Meeting Presentation to share her news about our Facebook Page.
The Management Council is now creating a list of members who are interested in becoming a member of the council. Elections will be held at our member meeting July 26 of this year. If you are at all interested in helping out in this way, please contact any current council member. Of the nine positions on the council, four will be open to our members. More details about the Management Council and terms of service can be found on our website.
A big Thank you to Rigsby Barnes who has been our Facilities Manager and has decided to step down from that responsibility. This is a very important position within the structure of KAZ. If you, or another member you know (check with that person first...), might be interested in assuming this role, please contact a member of the Council.
We also extend a thank you to Beth Falaise for the mugs she donates to be used as Thank You's for our monthly meeting presenters.
Sincerely, MCKAZ
the Management Council of Kudzu Art Zone
