July 2010
From the Council:
Summer is in full swing at kaz! Thank you’s to the crowd who came out for the June 4th Gallery Opening of our current show, A Southern Summer/Feel the Heat. Judy Greenberg was our Juror and Judge and she had many excellent things to say about our members' work.
At the last Management Council meeting there was discussion concerning the fact that some members feel they cannot enter work in our gallery shows because they have no time or way to volunteer in the gallery during our regular weekend hours. Part of the reason for joining Kudzu Art Zone is to have a gallery in which to show our work. We want to do whatever is necessary to make this possible for our members. Although assisting in running the gallery is a first choice, it is not the only way you can volunteer. If you feel that this describes you, please let a council member know and a list of possible volunteer opportunities can be provided.
Sincerely - MCKAZ
the Management Council of Kudzu Art Zone

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
The next few months at Kudzu are filled with interesting presenters and terrific workshops. I am getting the word out to local periodicals, the Norcross Neighbors group and various radio and TV stations. Each of us can be an ambassador of Kudzu. When you give out your artists' information, please include a little tribute to Kudzu. If you have a neighborhood group with a large contact list, please inquire if we might send our calendar of events to them. Your suggestions for Publicity would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Susie Schklar — Publicity

HELP!
We need our members’ help in finding and scheduling presenters/demos for our monthly member meetings. If you know any local artist or business that you think would be interested in this, please contact Kathy Kitz.
ALSO, Kathy would like some help with this important part of the “behind the scene” work the Management Council does for Kudzu. This is great way to volunteer in helping us grow.
