Exhibition Guidelines

General Exhibit Guidelines

Eligibility
  • Current members of Kudzu Art Zone only.
  • Submissions must be less than two years old.
  • Only works not previously accepted at Kudzu Art Zone  shows are eligible for submission.
Timeframe
  • Exhibits are juried.
  • Works not accepted must be picked up by the artist within two weeks of notification.
  • Works accepted must remain in the exhibit until the closing, unless work is sold.
Fees
  • Jury fees and/or exhibit fees may be charged and will be stated in the exhibit-specific documents.
Artwork
  • Works on canvas must be framed unless “Gallery Wrapped” with no visible staples. All other two-dimensional works must be framed.
  • Artwork must be accompanied with a completed Artist Submission Form.
  • Include Artist Name and title of the work on the back of all artwork.  A blank sample of this (as a sheet of labels) is here.

    • to use this sample, print the sheet on your printer, fill out the information requested and cut the ‘label’ out and attach to back of your work with tape.
Sales
  • Kudzu Art Zone, Inc. will accept checks payable to the artist for the price specified on the exhibit submission form.
  • If you do not want Kudzu to do this, please write Contact Artist or NFS on your form.
Insurance
  • Kudzu Art Zone, Inc. does not carry insurance coverage for damages or losses to artworks, materials, or other items placed in the exhibit.
Transportation
  • All deliveries of artwork to and from Kudzu Art Zone will be provided by the artist
Framing requirements
  • No sawtooth hangers
  • Screw eyes 1/3 down from the top
  • Use picture wire – Top of picture wire must be at least 2″ from top

Dropping Off Artwork

  • Please review the General Exhibition Guidelines, especially the “Framing Requirements”  before dropping off artwork for an exhibit. Any artwork not complying with the exhibition guidelines will not be accepted.
  • Include name and the title of the artwork is on the back of every piece submitted. A blank sample of this (as a sheet of labels) is here.

    • to use this sample, print the sheet on your printer, fill out the information requested and cut the ‘label’ out and attach to back of your work with tape.
  • Please make sure to clean your frame and glass-work prior to dropping off work.  Nothing takes away more from a lovely piece of art than smudges and fingerprints.
  • When choosing work for an exhibit, please consider a larger, more colorful piece from you collection.  It will be seen by more people from a greater distance, thereby making a more positive impact for the Exhibit.
